Train Night Market Srinagarindra, also known as Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin...
Is one of Bangkok’s most atmospheric and genuinely local night markets. Open Thursday to Sunday from 5pm to 1am, it’s a sprawling outdoor market specialising in vintage and antique memorabilia, street food, bars, and live music. This isn’t a quick wander market. It’s big, busy, and layered , the kind of place where you arrive for dinner and realise a few hours later that you’ve barely scratched the surface.
Why Visit Train Night Market Srinagarindra?
Bangkok has no shortage of night markets, but Srinagarindra stands apart. It’s larger, more character-filled, and far less touristy than most. With over 2,000 stalls, the market combines vintage shopping, street food, bars, and social spaces in a way that feels organic rather than staged. I can’t think of another Bangkok night market that offers the same mix of scale, atmosphere, and authenticity.
What Makes This Market Different?
Unlike markets such as Chatuchak, which lean heavily into fast fashion and souvenirs, Train Night Market Srinagarindra is known for its genuine vintage and antique focus. You’ll still find practical items like socks and shoes, but the heart of the market is its retro soul. Many stalls specialise in:
Vintage clothing and graphic t-shirts
Old records, books, paintings, and signage
Retro furniture and household items
Collectibles, toys, license plates, and memorabilia
Negotiating prices here often takes a bit of confidence and an understanding of what you’re looking at, these aren’t novelty items, and many pieces are genuinely old. But the good news is... the vendors aren’t pushy, which makes it easy to browse slowly and take your time. With patience, you can find some great pieces at reasonable prices.
Food, Drinks, and Bars
The food scene at Srinagarindra Train Night Market is overwhelming in the best way. There are endless options, from classic Thai street food to regional specialties. You’ll find everything from northeastern papaya salad to oversized bowls of Jompalung noodle soup, along with grilled meats, seafood, desserts, and late-night snacks. It’s easy to eat your way through the market without ever committing to one place. If you’re in the mood for a drink, the market delivers. Many of the bars are set up in old Volkswagens or colourful caravans, serving beers, cocktails, spirits, and soft drinks. Live bands play throughout the market, creating a lively but relaxed evening atmosphere. It’s a great place to grab a cold Chang, listen to music, and settle in for a while.
Vintage Cars, Motorbikes, and Displays
If you love cars or motorcycles, this market will impress you. Scattered throughout are vintage vehicle displays, including classic Chevys, old Volkswagens, and motorbikes dating back decades. Some of the buildings around the market have crumbling brick facades and exposed structures that add to the character. There are entire rows dedicated to vintage furniture and homewares, with bold retro colours and shapes, alongside stalls selling old toys, including Ninja Turtles, antique metal trains, and other nostalgic finds. It all feels curated without feeling commercial.
Atmosphere and Crowd
The most attractive thing about Train Night Market Srinagarindra is the atmosphere. It’s lively without being chaotic, busy without feeling overwhelming. The crowd is largely local, with groups of friends, couples, and families coming here to eat, drink, and hang out on weekend evenings. This isn’t a souvenir-hunting market. It’s more about wandering, discovering, eating well, and soaking up the energy. From the outside it doesn’t look particularly large, but once you step inside, it just keeps expanding. That local vibe is exactly why we loved it.

Pair It with Nong Bon Lake Park
We combined Train Night Market Srinagarindra with a visit to Nong Bon Lake Park, which is only 15 minutes away. We spent the afternoon cycling around the lake, then jumped on a Grab scooter to the market for dinner and drinks. It worked perfectly as a relaxed day-to-night side quest. If you’re planning something similar, you can read my full blog on Nong Bon Lake Park to plan the same route.
Is Train Night Market Srinagarindra Worth Visiting?
Yes, without hesitation. If you’re looking for a night market that feels local, character-filled, and different from Bangkok’s more tourist-heavy options, Train Night Market Srinagarindra is well worth the trip. It’s not about ticking off stalls, it’s about wandering, discovering, eating well, and settling in for the evening. One of Bangkok’s best night-time experiences, especially if you’re happy to venture a little further out.
