THE GTB BANGKOK GUIDE

Eat · Drink · Work
Bangkok

A growing collection of cafes, restaurants and work-friendly spots I’ve actually tried around Bangkok.

I love exploring new venues around the city, finding the places I love, the ones worth visiting, and a few I probably wouldn’t rush back to. You should see my Google Maps pins!

I’ll keep adding to this list as I explore more of Bangkok. If there’s somewhere you think I should try, send it my way, it might already be on my list!

Places I’ve Tried

Pathum Wan

Best for: Co-working

GTB verdict: Will return

Baan Saen Saep is definitely one of the coolest spots I’ve found in Bangkok for a day of co-working. Inspired by Japan with a Thai touch, it has two levels, heaps of tables, meeting rooms and fast Wi-Fi with no time limit. There are always plenty of other people working away, so it has a really good vibe without feeling like an office. The food selection is pretty limited, so you’ll probably need to venture next door for lunch, but the coffee and drinks are excellent. It can get busy, although we arrived around 1pm and still managed to get a table.

Work

Ari

Best for: Brunch

GTB verdict: Will return

I came here for brunch while exploring Ari and really enjoyed it. Beautiful space, delicious food and reasonably priced too. There’s also a great upstairs space that would work well for larger group bookings. Definitely somewhere I’d come back to. They also have other locations in Bangkok, I must try.

Eat

Sukhumvit / Asok

Best for: Celebrations

GTB verdict: Will return

Pastel is one of those Bangkok rooftops that’s about much more than the view. You can come for a beautiful Mediterranean dinner and sunset over the city, but I think the best time to experience it is after 10pm. The DJ takes over above the bar, dancers and a saxophone player come out, and before long everyone is up dancing. A must for a fun night out in Bangkok, especially if you’re celebrating something special.
