Pattaya is known for its nightlife, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll probably be more interested in finding somewhere decent to train.
After visiting Muscle Factory Pattaya, I decided to check out Sun Fitness Pratumnak Hill Pattaya.
I had heard good things about it. It turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of the trip.

First Impressions
I was immediately impressed walking into Sun Fitness. This location is relatively new (less than one year old). It’s a large yellow and black styled gym. Large, modern, clean, beautifully laid out and truly immaculate. There were a few people training, but it never felt crowded. Everyone seemed focused on getting their workout done.
The Space
The space is large, with pin-loaded and plate-loaded machines that are all brand new, well maintained and have excellent ergonomic design. The layout has clearly been well thought out. Nothing feels cramped, there is plenty of room to move between equipment and every training area flows naturally into the next.
It instantly felt like a gym designed by people who actually train.
Equipment
There are four squat racks, deadlift platforms and multiple functional cable trainers, along with a pull-up, lat pulldown and low-row functional cable station.
There are also multiple cable attachments, different length bars and grips, a dedicated ab area, dumbbells up to 40 kg, straight barbells, EZ bars and a huge range of pin-loaded and plate-loaded machines covering every major muscle group.
This gym delivers. Every piece of equipment I was hoping to use was there.
Whoever selected the equipment for this gym understands how serious people like to train.
And they have delivered every piece you need for a hardcore workout.
What It Felt Like to Train Here
From the moment I walked in, I was in gym paradise.
The gym was spotless. Everyone was training hard, and it felt like people genuinely respected both the gym and the equipment.
The gym is air-conditioned, well organised and the vibe was solid.
It was upper-body day for me, and I went hard.
The determination and focus was there, and I loved building my workout around machines you simply don’t see in every gym. The variety was insane.
Pricing
Sun Fitness has three locations across Pattaya.
I can only assume the other two locations are as good as Pratumnak.
When I visited, prices were:
Day pass: 140 THB
Monthly membership: 1,090 THB
This is the best value gym I have seen in ages.
State-of-the-art equipment, air conditioning and a very reasonable price.
Communication
Reception staff were friendly.
It was easy to pay for a day pass and get into the gym without any problems.

Honestly…I really struggled to find any negatives.
The only thing I noticed was the lack of showers.
My Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a gym in Pattaya… Go to Sun Fitness.
It was excellent. It has an incredible selection of equipment and the price is very reasonable.
This would easily be my pick.
